This is 'BentoLite' bentonite (specifically L-10), the lightest colored bentonite available. It's a high-purity, very fine, processed bentonite based on natural calcium bentonite. We carry 2 other bentonites that are both natural, dark, sodium, 'swelling' bentonites. This bentonite is unique because it is non-swelling and light colored. It does not impart as much plasticity when added to clay bodies, but because of its light color it's suitable for addition to porcelain bodies.
