The adze is an impressive beauty made of the highest quality Swedish steel available. The adze, or tväryxa as it is traditionally called, is basically like a larger gouge you can chop with. It has a number of woodworking uses such as hollowing out timber, making troughs, & special notchwork. The Small Gutter Adze is usually kept for when the user is working close to the material, making a shorter handle preferable.
