It has a 19" long traditional pattern hickory handle which lends the axe more power when swung. It is long enough for powerful chopping, yet still small enough to fit your pack! The axe is excellent for felling smaller diameter limb wood or cutting smaller diameter logs for the fire. This beauty of an axe weighs 2 lb. & includes a grain leather sheath.    Each axe head is hand-forged from special Swedish steel which is then honed, tempered, & annealed to the perfect hardness by the experienced Gränsfors
