This carving was done by legendary Hopi-Tewa artist Neil David, Jr. who lives at the First Mesa on the Hopi reservation. Born in 1947, Neil David was raised on the Hopi Reservation in Arizona. He has been carving Katsina dolls since the 1980s and his favorite subjects often include the Koyaala and Koshari-Hono Clowns.
