This is a great authentic Hopi overlay pin pendant. The design is that of the mythical figure of the Kokopelli. Kokopelli was thought to be a traveling musician, carrying and playing his flute from village to village. Because crops flourished and healthy babies were born after his visit, he is know as a fertility or figure of abundance. This pin is also a pendant and was created by the Hopi artist, Norman Honie, Jr. IN the middle of the two Kokopellis, there is the Hopi village with the Kiva or ceremonial ladder.
