Domaine Dujac Gevrey Chambertin Les Combottes 1er Cru 2018 The 2018 Les Combottes is a charming wine, boasting a bouquet of red and black fruits, earth, and subtle spices. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with a velvety texture and well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and harmonious. Vineyard notes - Les Combottes, a lieu-dit south of the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, lies halfway up the hill, just below the steep incline of Les Monts Luisants, in a steeply sloping area (5–6%). Ranging in altitude from 271 to 282 meters, this lieu-dit faces due east. The soil changes from east to west. In the eastern part of the plot, the reddish-brown soil is 40 to 50 cm thick, containing angular-to-rounded limestone fragments. In the western part of the lieu-dit, the soil is rich in fine angular limestone gravel. The substratum underlying Les Combottes is ocher-colored crinoidal limestone (calcaire à Entroques), rich in debris from marine organisms. To the west, this layer is overlai
