Domaine Dujac Gevrey Chambertin Les Combottes 1er Cru 2016 This wine offers a complex nose of red and black fruits, spices, and earthy undertones. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, satisfying finish. This wine will continue to develop and improve with age. Vineyard notes - Les Combottes, a lieu-dit south of the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, lies halfway up the hill, just below the steep incline of Les Monts Luisants, in a steeply sloping area (5–6%). Ranging in altitude from 271 to 282 meters, this lieu-dit faces due east. The soil changes from east to west. In the eastern part of the plot, the reddish-brown soil is 40 to 50 cm thick, containing angular-to-rounded limestone fragments. In the western part of the lieu-dit, the soil is rich in fine angular limestone gravel. The substratum underlying Les Combottes is ocher-colored crinoidal limestone (calcaire à Entroques), rich in debris from marine organisms. To the west, this layer is overlain by bedde
