Domaine Dujac Gevrey Chambertin Les Combottes 1er Cru 2012 The 2012 vintage showcases a fine expression of red and dark fruits, such as cherries and blackberries, accompanied by notes of forest floor and a hint of spice. The wine has a silky texture with well-integrated tannins and a long, elegant finish. Vineyard notes - Les Combottes, a lieu-dit south of the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, lies halfway up the hill, just below the steep incline of Les Monts Luisants, in a steeply sloping area (5–6%). Ranging in altitude from 271 to 282 meters, this lieu-dit faces due east. The soil changes from east to west. In the eastern part of the plot, the reddish-brown soil is 40 to 50 cm thick, containing angular-to-rounded limestone fragments. In the western part of the lieu-dit, the soil is rich in fine angular limestone gravel.
