Fabulous Heirloom Elkington Teapot

Here is an amazing heirloom treasure!  It is a gorgeous English teapot by the most famous name in antique silver, Sheffield Plate, and Electroplate - Elkington & Co.   The piece is awesome!  Long before there was electricity, someone had this gorgeous teapot displayed on their sideboard reflecting the flame of a candle! Note the freeform fluted waves on the pot, the elegantly designed handle with wood top, the intricately chased lid with wood finial.   The pot is attached to the base with chains and keys so that it could be securely placed while sitting atop the warmer.  Unlock one chain and it could be tipped and poured, unlock both and the whole pot can be removed. The stand itself is so delightful, pierce designs, tall, elaborate legs, with dainty paw feet.  It has an alcohol burner underneath to keep the water warm.  Condition is fantastic!    9" x 11" tall The esteemed Elkington & Co. was one of the most prominent names in English silver and one of the foremost authorities
