Fabulous Specimen of an English Antique Revolving Top Dome Server

This fabulous, antique revolving top dome server on legs was made in England. This excellent specimen features a revolving lid which tips all the way back. The lid features a majestic engraving of the lion standing within a regal crown. Open it to find a removable tray as well as the interior base.  Hot water can be contained in the bottom to keep food warm on your serving buffet. The dramatic legs are tall and fluted with delicate scrolls adorning each side. The lid features its rarely seen original round hand piece made from a natural material. Excellent antique condition, a beautiful heirloom to use as a display centerpiece as well as a special buffet or meal.  Proudly marked EPNS to indicate this is electroplated nickel silver, a "new" invention created in the 1830's. 14" x 8.5" 8"
