Exquisite Late 1800s Forbes Silverplate Teapot & Sugar Bowl – Ornate Repoussé Detailing & Quadruple Plate

Now this is one of the most beautiful teapots and sugar bowls I have ever seen! So many flourishes and florals adorning everywhere you look completed by a delicate finial atop. Repousse detailing all over - this was a special process of hammering the design into the piece from the back.  Zoom in to see the intricate details. I love how unique and ornate this one is. Made by Forbes Silverplate Co. in the late 1800's and marked "quadroupleplate" which means 4 layers of sterling coating this piece. On one side of each it is marked S.S.M. Teapot is 9" tall.
