This hand sized specimen is a beautiful example of crystal structure! This is a cluster featuring sculptural little purple cubic fluorite crystals with light hematite phantoms and inclusions, from Colorado’s Nonsense Pocket. The purple fluorite cubes have darker and softer purple zones, and display matte texture and light reflection, with neat inclusions. Crystal symmetry is complete in some cubes and incomplete in others, but the edges do display soft abrasions in some areas. The cubes contrast beautifully against the pale quartz crystal beneath. This is an attractive small specimen that comes with locality info. It impresses with its classic Colorado style--it would offer a lot of beauty to any specimen collection!
