*This is a fragile, mini to small specimen--Please read dimensions and care notes! Due to its delicate nature, it’s currently set for US shipping only; please contact me for an accurate international shipping quote.* This is a lovely unpolished crystallized specimen of chrysocolla, a bright turquoise blue mineral, in a unique form. It looks like a gorgeous small flower made of ice! It is is considered a triple pseudomorph due to its unusual growth formations. This is a rare and unique specimen, as it is a 3 stage pseudomorph: chrysocolla after malachite, after azurite. The delicate needles and blades are the hallmark of the original Azurite. The outer layers of flower-like growth are accented by tiny fibrous needles of green malachite, which gives it appealing color contrast. These clusters are accented by delicate raw edges, slim shapes and lines, and super sparkly druzy quartz layers. This particular specimen has beautiful soft icy blue-green colors and a very striking visual impact! It is characterized by rough edges and an organic, freeform shape. Though delicate and requiring special care, this small sized piece would make a striking shelf specimen, particularly for those who collect rare specimens! It comes with the pictured stand, which it’s currently mounted to with museum putty. It would make a handsome addition to any mineral buff's specimen collection, or collectors of beautiful and delicate crystals. *Care Notes: Chrysocolla is a fragile and crumbly mineral, so extra care during unpacking and display is imperative. It also should not be stored on a wooden shelf, or in direct sunlight, for prolonged periods of time. Keep out of water and protect the delicate needles from breakage.* Locality: Dem. Rep. of Congo.
