Cobalt blue is a considerably lighter and cooler blue color than prussian blue and lighter even than ultramarine blue both of which we carry. Partly because it is an inorganic pigment, it is chemically very stable and durably lightfast in even harsh environments. It's also heat resistant. Because of its stability in alkaline conditions it is used to color concrete. It has been used for centuries, probably starting in the late 8th or early 9th century in China....(see more)
