Crushed Green Vesuvianite Powder (California Jade) from California, Fine Crush (<0.25mm)
Vesuvianite was initially found in a volcanic block adjacent to Mount Vesuvius, hence its name. This mineral forms as a result of contact metamorphism, where incredibly hot fluids mix with the host rock and create new minerals. Vesuvianite can occur in a variety of different colors; however, the jade-like green version is known as "Californite" or "Californian Jade". Our powdered material consists of mostly silt and clay sized particles. Our powders do have a slight grit to them. Please see the corresponding sediment size chart.
