Apatite is a calcium phosphate mineral that is naturally found in a variety of colors. This crushed apatite is from Brazil and has a beautiful, deep blue color. Apatite is a relatively soft mineral with a Moh's hardness of 5; therefore, it is a good pick for your woodworking projects. This crushed material is extremely clean and is premium quality apatite. Our powdered material consists of mostly silt and clay sized particles. Our powders do have a slight grit to them.
