Description: A beautiful choice very fine or better banknote from Scotland. This is the 1st. March 1952 one pound sterling note issued by Clydesdale & North of Scotland Bank. The note which is clean and retains quite a bit of its original crispiness is blue, red, and orange in color on the front and blue on the back. The front shows a docked ship on the left and a field with sheaf to the right. The back shows a river and trees. It has the denomination spelled out on the front in the center. The front shows one signature, that of the general manager of the bank at the time. It also displays the date and the serial number. This particular note has the serial number F842493. The banknote has no watermark that we could identify but has a solid security thread near the left edge.
