Naturally Gray - handcarded spinning fiber

Washed, picked and carded by Fiberdog Fibers. Available as either braid or batt, this listing is for a single braid or batt. The lovely gray color is all thanks to the three different animals that grew the fibers for this product: sheep Isa and my two own angora rabbits Nox and Lumos. Both the sheep and the rabbit part of this blend are known for their softness and will make excellent yarn for next to skin uses. While both preparations are carded on my drum carder, the batts are simply removed from the carder, while the braids have been pulled off the carder through a diz, resulting in a thin sliver rather than a big sheet. As always the sheep wool for this this product started in my studio as a raw fleece which I then processed by hand for you.I've included a picture of the transformation from fleece to fiber ready for spinning so you can enjoy the different steps the fiber went through in my hands.
