Lavender - handdyed spinning fiber

Washed, picked, carded and dyed by Fiberdog Fibers. This listing is for a single braid. To see an example of this fiber spun up, check out the yarn of the same name!   In my mind, when thinking of summer flowers, I always think of lavender in all of its wonderful shades of purple and blue. And because I can't actually have lavender in my garden for various reasons, I decided to bring a little bit of that summer feeling to my craft.  The result is this lovely purple spinning fiber, ready to bring a hint of summer flowers into your home.   Romney is easy to spin and one of the sheep breeds I highly recommend for new spinners. To this day it is one of my favorite wools to spin!   As always this product started in my studio as a raw fleece which I then processed by hand for you.I've included a picture of the fleece the way I got it, so you can also enjoy the transformation from fleece to fiber ready for spinning.
