Antique Regency style framed print of classical antiquity. Antique late 18th or early 19th century print depicting Prudence and Beauty by G B Cipriani. Originally printed in 1782 this British style print depicts Prudence in the helmet endeavouring to retain Beauty in the center from the insinuation of love. This piece was printed in Paris around the same period for Madame Breton. The classic Regency period frame has claen lines of mahogany with roundels in the 4 corners which ties in correctly with the date of the print and the chamfered wooden backing.
