  Description: In this class, students will learn the mosaic slip stitch technique and how to read a very simple, basic chart to create a war, slightly textured hat. *Note - instructions for the slip stitch pattern are written out as well as charted. Class Dates/Times: Saturday, September 28 9AM – 11AM Instructor: Janice Toney Techniques/Skills Learned: Mosaic slip stitch and how to read a chart. Skill Level: Intermediate - Beginner level skills plus increase, decrease, and follow simple patterns. Prerequisites for Class: Students must know how to cast on, knit, purl and knit in the round. Students will start the project at home prior to class by casting on and completing 2 to 2 1/2 inches of ribbing. Materials Needed for Class:  16" circular needles in size 9 and size 10 plus double pointed needles in size 10 to finish the hat. One Main Color and a Contrasting Color of yarn in bulky weight.
