Mexican Free-Tailed Bat Balsa Ornament

Known as the "jet" of the bat world, the mexican free-tail bat can fly at speeds of up to 60 mph. They are the smallest of the free-tailed bats and weigh no more than a light bulb. Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
