Insect Bat Balsa Ornament

People do not always think kindly of bats, but they are important. One beneficial job they do for us is eating bugs like mosquitos! Some estimate that they can eat up to 1000 an hour. Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua.
