Sony Mavica MVC-FD5 The Sony Mavica MVC-FD5 was a digital camera released by SONY in 1997. It recorded photos on a 3.5" floppy disk and was the first camera to do so. Sony had invented the 3.5" floppy in 1981, so thought it was the cheapest form of memory for the camera.
