The VMS Racing adjustable shifter bodies are manufactured completely from billet AL7075-T6 Aluminum. 7075-T6 Aluminum has an ultimate tensile strength of 74,000–78,000 psi (510–572 MPa) and yield strength of at least 63,000–69,000 psi (434–503 MPa) which is comparable to steel, but at a fraction of the weight. One interesting use for 7075 is in the manufacture of M16 rifles for the American military. Each shifter body is beautifully anodized for maximum durability. Available in 4 colors. The VMS PRO Racing B/D series shifter was designed with full adjustability in mind. The shifters height is adjustable up to 4" inches, the offset elbow of the shifter can be rotated 180 degrees to different positions, and the pivot ball is also adjustable up or down up to 2 1/2" inches. The adjustable pivot ball allows the racer to thread the pivot ball higher or lower on the shift rod. If you thread the pivot ball higher it shortens the shift throw, lower it makes it longer.
