The VMS Racing adjustable shifter bodies are manufactured completely from billet AL7075-T6 Aluminum. 7075-T6 Aluminum has an ultimate tensile strength of 74,000–78,000 psi (510–572 MPa) and yield strength of at least 63,000–69,000 psi (434–503 MPa) which is comparable to steel, but at a fraction of the weight. One interesting use for 7075 is in the manufacture of M16 rifles for the American military. Each shifter body is beautifully anodized for maximum durability. Available in 4 colors. The VMS Racing Pro Billet 2 Adjustable B/D series shifter was designed after we received a bunch of inquiries from the circuit communities that they wanted us to make a longer shifter for them. It seems that our earlier adjustable shifter was just not long enough for their needs. So our Pro Billet Adjustable Shifter was completely redesigned into a much sturdier and longer unit to fit their needs.
