Pittnauer "Perfect Day" 2021

Where the 'Blonde By Nature' is more dominated by pineapple, 'Perfect Day' is a touch more floral with more stone fruit and tangerine. It's a little more structured, complex, and detailed as well. But it is still a super-pleasurable, less-funky orange wine, not overly earthy or tannic. It's a versatile pairing for anything from spicy Asian dishes to pizza.  Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay were co-fermented in an open vat for 14 days on skins, with Muskat Ottonel that has 3 days on the skins. There's also Traminer with 20 days in amphora on the skins and some Gelber Muskateller pressed after a short maceration. All of this is aged separately in amphoras and old oak for half a year before the four wines are merged right before bottling.
