USDA Certified Organic The Pink Princess apple tree was hybridized by Fred Jansen, who crossed Pink Pearl and King of the Pippins. The Pink Princess apples are pink colored flesh similar to that of Pink Pearl, but sweeter, with a nice fruity flavor. The Pink Princess was originally named the Pink Old Lady, but renamed to avoid confusion with the commercial variety Pink Lady.
