1884 is a very old, rare heirloom tomato reportedly discovered by James Lyde Williamson in a pile of debris near Friendly, West Virginia following the great flood of the Ohio River in 1884. Plants produce heavy yields of pink, somewhat ribbed, 1 to 2-pound tomatoes with exceptional flavor. In fact, 1884 is one of the best-tasting tomatoes we’ve tried. A great slicer tomato for sandwiches and burgers. 78 days from transplant. Each packet contains a minimum of 50 seeds.
