E Van Meerbeck Sampler Pattern PDF

This early 19th-century Dutch sampler is 11 x 9 inches and was stitched on a pale gray 12 count canvas-type material.Miss "E" loved to drag threads across the back. By the time she got to the end of her sampler, it appears she did not leave enough room for her full name. It makes the sampler so charming and endearing.I love all the imperfections. I kept them all! She was probably quite young when she stitched this. This was most likely a teaching sampler from school as the paper "file" tag is still attached to the sampler. Design Area:  126 stitches wide by 109 stitches high Stitched Area: 9 inches (22.9cm) wide by 7-3/4 inches (19.8cm) high Fabric Size: 15 inches (38cm) wide by 14 inches (35cm)this includes 3 inches (8cm) allowance on all sides for finishing or framing The measurements given in the pattern are for 14ct/28ct fabric.
