Charles Chief Eagle Beaded Set-Knife Sheath and Mirror Bag, made in 1992 (GM145, GM146)

This beautiful, beaded knife sheath and mirror bag set are the work of artist Charles Chief Eagle, Pine Ridge Lakota Sioux. Both are signed and dated 1992. The pieces are brain tanned hide and are sinew sewn. The entire front side of the sheath and mirror bag are covered in Venetian glass seed beads. The design is a lovely blue and white Native pattern. Both have beaded hanging cords with glass trade beads and are embellished with dyed horsehair tufts on tin cones. Just beautiful! Charles was a featured artist in my gallery and came to Chicago for a show in the early 1990s.  Guaranteed authentic!
