They take what would otherwise be silk waste, from cutting sari silk for wraps and clothing, and sew the pieces end to end, occasionally tying ends, to make beautiful yarn. This colorway is a light and soothing silvery blue. As is common with these ribbon skeins, there may be an occasional surprise color like gray or a slightly darker blue but they're rare and in short sections. Some of the ribbon is sheer, some with a satiny shine while others are matte. Occasionally but rarely also, there will be a little pattern here or there.
