German WWI Iron Cross 1914 2nd Class-Handsome example with a great finish and light toning. This includes a very short portion of original black and white ribbon. This is clearly marked on the ring with “MFH” indicating manufacture by the firm of M. Flex & Sohn in Hamburg. This has a special copper tint to it, which is quite handsome. This is a very good example in excellent condition. History: The German "Iron Cross of 1914" was a military decoration awarded to soldiers during World War I, originally established by King Frederick William III of Prussia in 1813 as a recognition for bravery in battle.
