The '64 SG is a standout in the SG catalog; by that year the less intuitive sideways vibrola has turned into the more usable Maestro tailpiece. It was also the first year that the SG was known simply as the 'SG' and no longer the Les Paul moniker. The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom is a stunning recreation featuring a one-piece mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard and two Custombucker humbuckers like you'd find on a Gibson Custom Shop instrument.
