Our handmade 14k red and blue parti-color corundum ring celebrates the rich natural color of this ethically sourced gemstone. Weighing 4.35 ct, it's an unusual mix of both red (ruby) and blue (sapphire) in the body of one gem: completely as Mother Nature intended with no-heat treatment for color or clarity and a fascinating pattern of natural inclusions that emphasize it's one of a kind organic character.Natural tanzanite, sapphire and full-cut diamond accents play to the velvety saturation of the main stone, with a gracefully undulating textured branch-style band. Scientifically speaking, rubies and sapphires are simply varieties of corundum; ruby is defined as red corundum, while all other varieties of corundum, anything not red, are classified as sapphire. This particular stone was mined at Winza, in central Tanzania; mixed color stones displaying bluish violet color zones are unique to this area.
