Remnants of Mako

Bathed in the glow of the Lifestream, you see the legendary Buster Sword belonging to Cloud Strife impaled in the ground. The leather wrapping around the hilt is worn and nicked, almost as if it could tell stories of countless battles on its own. You are immediately drawn to the base of the sword once you see the arcane glow of the materia embedded in it. You wonder if that is why the ground around the weapon is so heavily scorched and glowing with mako residue. That, or it could be the remnants of the attacker who caused Cloud to drop his sword here...
