In “Inside the Reactor”, I wanted to encapsulate a moment of decision, a pivotal point in Cloud Strife’s journey. The setting is a mako reactor, with Cloud positioned in front of its controls, ready to make a choice that will define his path. I opted for a palette dominated by blues and teals, punctuated with bursts of neon pink. These colors, often associated with tranquility, are juxtaposed against the scene’s context of stress and anxiety, highlighting Cloud’s internal conflict. The mako’s luminous glow is the painting’s focal point, symbolizing the allure of power and the moral dilemmas it entails. By depicting Cloud from behind, I invite viewers to step into his shoes and feel the weight of the decisions he must make.The inspiration for this piece came from my desire to explore the themes of choice and responsibility. Cloud’s journey is marked by moments of decision, and the mako reactor represents a critical juncture. The ethereal light of the mako draws Cloud in, casting a shad
