Texas Region Native Pollinator Wildflower Mixture

STATESOklahoma & Texas THE PROBLEM   The market is full of pollinator wildflower mixtures in a range of prices and regions. Many include non-native and invasive species that can be detrimental to native habitat and cause confusion for well-intentioned consumers. A study cited by the National Park Service  showed a  greater diversity and abundance of birds and caterpillars were found in yards containing regionally appropriate native plants. THE SOLUTION   Stover Seed, in collaboration with Pollinator Partnership (a nonprofit dedicated to pollinator health and conservation), developed a series of regionally specific native plant-pollinator seed mixes.  Our goal was to provide an ideal wildflower habitat for home gardens by giving pollinators a diversity of flowers that are native to each region and will bloom across growing seasons.
