A lovely set of six French dining chairs made in the style of Louis XVI, sourced from Provence, France. Each chair showcases a hand-crafted frame, featuring an oval-shaped back hand-painted in creamy antique white paint. The paint showcases a naturally aged crackled patina with some characterful distressed areas. The chairs have been structurally restored and newly upholstered in a lovely striped green and blue linen fabric. The fabric was clean-finished with matching hand-made welt trim. Supported by gracefully tapered, fluted legs culminating in toupie feet, characteristic of the Louis XVI style, the front legs captivate with beautifully carved rosettes on the corners.
