
Early 19th Century French Louis XV Style Painted Cane Back Dining Chairs W/ Striped Linen - Set of 6
An exquisite and rare set of six early 19th-century French dining chairs crafted in the Grand Louis XV style and sourced directly from Provence, France. Masterfully hand-carved from solid wood, these chairs feature elegant frames adorned with a hand-painted antique white finish, highlighted by light green, yellow, orange, and red paint accents. The paint has developed a naturally aged patina, with characterful distressed areas adding to their charm. The chairs have been structurally restored and retain their original hand-woven cane backs, which remain in excellent condition. While the cane seats have experienced wear over the years, we have added custom padded cushions upholstered in a striped green and blue linen fabric, complete with matching piping and back bows to secure them in place.
