A late 19th-century country French provincial library desk made in the style of Louis Philippe, sourced from Provence, France. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid oak wood showcasing a naturally aged warm patina with rich wood grains. This two-piece desk features two glass cabinet doors with the original lock and key, revealing a divided book gallery on top with four adjustable shelves. The table is constructed with a rectangular top covered with black vinyl. The desk is fronted with two large storage drawers constructed with dovetail joints. The key for the gallery works on both drawers. The table is raised on elegant, hand-carved turned legs.
