The palate is loaded with dry tannin, cake batter, apple butter, faint cinnamon and rich brown butter. Opulent texture that's almost custard adjacent, with hints of red berry, tobacco, sweet cream and a dash of orange peel. It tastes much richer and structured than I'd expect for 7 years old and at 60+% ABV it's got a great, buttery, texture on the palate. The finish is long, complex and full of character. Maple. oak structure, more of that floral baking spice combined with brown butter, rich tobacco and a hint of orange peel leads this pour off.
