Hail Mary (French) Tinwork Shrine

Mixed media: reclaimed tin, resin, paper, twine, enamel paint, glass bead, mixed fabrics. Hand-cut, hammered, and shaped ornament is made with reclaimed tin framing this mini print reproduction of an antique holy card. After filing and sanding sharp corners and edges, I embellish these ornaments from my stash of vintage, antique, distressed, and/or reclaimed fabrics, metals, beads, trims, and sacramentals. This piece features rhinestones and mixed vintage and distressed fabrics, including a cotton scrap with the opening line of the prayer "Hail Mary" in French (since it's a French holy card): Je vous salue, Marie  I salute you, Mary pleine de grâce full of grace Tinwork body is 2.5".
