Lucia Slippers This is my 23rd scandiwork slipper pattern and I'm crazy about it! Start knitting this slipper at the heel. The heel is worked flat and then stitches are added for the instep and the rest of the slipper is knit in the round. My slippers are inspired by Norwegian Selbu Mittens.  They are super fun to knit, wear and give as a gift. When I give them as a gift, I don't wrap them, I tie a just Nordic ribbon them. I think they are too pretty to hid behind wrapping paper.  My Lucia Slippers were inspired by the Advent Season and the design is filled with symbols of  hope, peace, joy, love,  and light. My favorite part of Advent is celebrating light with St Lucia. These slippers have reference to light from top to bottom, on the front and on the back. I hope that you will make these slippers during this joyful season and that it will help  make your season merry and bright. Most of all, I hope that this season will bring peace and joy to the world. I hope that you will make these
