Marte Slippers Pattern

I learned to love flowers from my mother and grandma and great-grandma (and who knows how far back it travels from there). For me, flowers are synonymous with happiness—from my Grandpa Hansen’s tulip tree to my grandma’s prized peonies, to cut flowers on the table every month of the year. Winter in northern Utah’s Cache Valley didn’t mean an end to flowers, it just meant the geraniums came indoors, crowding out windowsills and end tables while they waited for the coming of spring.These slippers are an extension of my love for flowers.Slippers are super fun to knit. You get to practice stranded two-color knitting, knitting in the round, traditional Norwegian mitten-shaping, and a nifty crocheted edge.
