ABOUT This is an original Victorian era solid brass cat nutcracker. The tail opens the mouth for the nut to be cracked and is in good working order. "Made in England" is stamped on the tail. This piece has retained its original finish and has the appropriate finish. CREATOR Unknown. DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1890s MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Solid Brass. CONDITION Good.
