About the Poster Solemn Promise (Russian: Торжественное обещание) is a 1919 Soviet propaganda poster by Dmitri Moor (Russian: Д. Моор). In case of interest, the somewhat ineligible text reads: Solemn promise when joining the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. 1. I, the son of the working people, a citizen of the Soviet Republic, assume the title of a soldier in the Workers 'and Peasants' Army. 2.
