“He Has Risen” Mug

This piece was handmade/one of a kind, thrown on a wheel. Hand painted with Amaco underglazes. For this technique I dripped different color glazes down the side and added a detailed drawing on top. Scene depicts Jesus with a crown of thorns, three crosses,  an empty tomb and the donkey/colt that Jesus rode, surrounded by palm branches. Also trees with the dawn of a new day, and a waterfall with a dove flying in the sky. Made with Nara Porcelain. Holds 16 ounces  - Food, dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe- Wheel thrown and altered- Lead freeHandmade ceramic mug. Fired in a gas kiln to 2,345 F (cone 10).
