"Metro's Nap" by Ron & Metro
"Metro's Nap" by Ron & Metro We rarely saw Metro lie down in the field. Because of his bad knees, he was always on the bottom of the horse herd pecking order. If he slept, it was usually standing up. We think he just didn't feel comfortable laying down when he was around other horses for fear of being picked on. The horse herd can be a cruel place. But then one day when we came to visit the horses, we saw Metro all sprawled at in the warm weather enjoying the warm weather. We were excited to see him so relaxed, because relaxation and Metro are two words that usually don't go together in the same sentence. I started off this digital painting by collaging Metros brushstrokes and then adding my own touches. This print is printed on 100% textured watercolor paper, so it has the look and feel of an original art work. Hand signed on the border by Ron Krajewski.
