HIV is the virus which causes AIDS. It has had a tremendous effect on the world. The race to find a cure has given rise to new career fields. It has devastated varying culture groups and the lives of children. Therefore, it is a very important subject for students to study. HIV is transmitted many ways but, since it can be transmitted sexually, several other Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) will be addressed.
